Mount Meru (4566m) is Tanzania’s second highest mountain and offers a thrilling summit experience with stunning views of Kilimanjaro and the Arusha plains. This **3-day itinerary** is a faster-paced ascent suitable for hikers who are well acclimatized or physically fit. The climb passes through rainforest, rich wildlife areas, and dramatic volcanic ridges leading to the summit known as Socialist Peak.
Arusha and Mount Meru Tour Itinerary
Start with registration at Momella Gate. The trail leads steadily uphill through lush forest where you may spot buffalo, giraffes, and colobus monkeys. Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba Hut.
The trail climbs steeply via the famous “Elephant Ridge” with beautiful views of Mount Meru’s crater wall. Arrive at Saddle Hut for rest and summit briefing. Early sleep in preparation for the midnight summit push.
At midnight begin the summit ascent along a rocky ridge leading to Socialist Peak. Enjoy sunrise views over Kilimanjaro. After spending time at the summit, descend back via Saddle Hut to Momella Gate where certificates are issued. Transfer to Arusha

- All clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers:

- Health and Fitness
- Clients participating in mountain trekking must be in good physical condition. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure they are medically fit for activities such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
