This 4-day Tanzania safari explores three of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Begin in Tarangire National Park with its giant elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, continue to the legendary Serengeti National Park for world-famous endless plains, and end with a full-day adventure inside the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater.
Arusha, Ngorongoro and Tarangire National Park Tour Itinerary
After breakfast, depart Arusha to Tarangire, known for massive elephant herds and rich savannah wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive before heading to your lodge/camp in Karatu for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti via Ngorongoro highlands. Enter the vast Serengeti plains for an afternoon game drive. Overnight inside Serengeti in a lodge or tented camp.
Early morning sunrise game drive in Serengeti. After lunch, drive to Ngorongoro with optional stop at Olduvai Gorge. Overnight at a lodge/tented camp on the crater rim or in Karatu.
Descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater for a stunning wildlife drive. Afternoon return to Arusha, marking the end of your safari.

- Changes to Itinerary
- While every effort is made to follow the planned itinerary, Roots of Africa Kilimanjaro Expedition reserves the right to make changes due to:
- Weather conditions
- Safety concerns
- National park regulations
- Unforeseen circumstances
- Any changes will be made with the safety and comfort of clients as the top priority.
- Travel Insurance
- All clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers:
- Trip cancellation
- Medical expenses
- Emergency evacuation
- High altitude trekking such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
- Health and Fitness
- Clients participating in mountain trekking must be in good physical condition. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure they are medically fit for activities such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
- Responsibility and Liability
- Roots of Africa Kilimanjaro Expedition acts only as a tour operator and shall not be held responsible for: ∙ Personal injury or illness
- Loss or damage of personal belongings
- Delays caused by weather, road conditions, or airline schedules
- Any events beyond our control
- Client Conduct
- Clients are expected to respect local cultures, wildlife, and environmental regulations while visiting national parks and communities in Tanzania.
- Passport, Visa, and Travel Documents
- All travelers must have valid travel documents including passports and visas required for entry into Tanzania. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure these documents are valid before travel.
- Acceptance of Terms
- By booking a tour with Roots of Africa Kilimanjaro Expedition, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- If a client cancels their trip, the following cancellation fees may apply:
- More than 30 days before the trip – deposit refundable (minus bank charges)
- 15–30 days before the trip – 50% cancellation fee
- Less than 15 days before the trip – 100% cancellation fee
